When I first launched Summit & Sea, I started as a Graphic Designer servicing other freelancers and small businesses for their design needs. My goal was to grow that business and eventually freelance full-time, but things never really took off and I found myself doubting if this is where God was really calling me. I was already doing photography on the side for my church and day job, and slowly my passion for taking photos grew bigger than design.

In 2024, I tried my hand at shooting portrait photography and immediately fell in love. Through some amazing friends and family, I built a small portfolio and worked on growing my skills. In August of 2025, I decided to pivot my freelance business away from graphic design services and focus on couples photography instead. After a few months, I fully re-branded and now here we are!
